THE 1st OF MAY 2019, THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT OF BOLIVIA ISSUED THE SUPREME DECREE N° 3888, BY MEANS OF WHICH SHOULD be A WAGE INCREASE REQUIRED FOR THIS MANAGEMENT 2019.
During the events for the Day's Work that were performed on the 1st of may 2019 in the city of Cochabamba, was passed, the Supreme Decree N° 3888, which authorizes the increase of three percent (3%) having basic and four percent (4%) to the National Minimum Wage (SMN). With this legislation, the National Minimum Wage amounts to the sum of Bs. 2,122.00.- (Two Thousand one Hundred and Twenty-Two and 00/100 Bolivianos). Also, this increase in wage shall be applied retroactively as of 1 January 2019, and must be paid until 31 may of the present management. The Supreme Decree N° 3888 not repealed or abrogated by the Supreme Decree N° 3546 of may 1, 2018, for what is in effect a fixed amount established for the family allowances; therefore, the subsidies prenatal, birth, maternity, breastfeeding, and burial were kept in the sum of Bs. 2,000.00.- (Two Thousand And 00/100 Bolivianos).Finally, this legislation still must be regulated by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social welfare by means of Resolutions, which shall be issued in the next few days. Making it clear that the breach of this decree constitutes infringement partner work.
